Abundant Therapist – Cherry-pick your clients

Today I am going to talk to you about cherry-picking your clients. Yes, that’s right, you as a therapist can decide who you are going to treat.

I realise that your clients will have sought you out for treatment, they will have chosen you initially. But after a few sessions, if you feel the relationship is not right, you can change it.

I want you to have a think about the type of clients you really enjoy working with, those clients you look forward to seeing and probably achieve the most with and then think about those clients you do not enjoy treating.

Sometimes, therapist and client do not “click” which means that neither of you are getting the best out of the appointment.

It may sound harsh but if you only work with people you are comfortable with and enjoy treating, your work will become a pleasure.

This is particularly important if you work alone, rather than in a practice with colleagues.

This morning, I looked down the list of clients I will be treating today. I can honestly say I look forward to seeing certain people, I look forward to catching up on their news and seeing how they have been. I am very lucky to have a fantastic group of clients but it has not always been so.

If you get this right, your business will thrive and you will be energised and motivated to go to work. You will be making money from doing the thing you love.

Until the next time.

Abundantly yours,

Jayne
