Perfection paralysis. What’s that, you ask. Well, it is a state of mind I find frequently in therapists who are new to running their own therapy business.

It means that because you are so afraid of making mistakes, you get stuck. You have all the credentials as a wonderful therapist, but none of the expertise of a business owner.

Many of the therapists I meet suffering from perfection paralysis lack confidence and have convinced themselves that they will never unlock the formula for business success.

This is simply not the case. The most important aspect of unlocking your potential is to have total self belief in your own skills as a therapist and then invest in your business.

How do you do this? Well, there are a few medical and complementary therapists who are blessed with a business as well as a healing, nurturing brain.

But let me tell you they are few and far between. What I tend to see most often is a brilliant therapist panicking because their business skills such as marketing, IT and accounting do not match their excellence in their specialty.
