I am a busy mum of two young boys and it never ceases to amaze me how long it takes to do everything. I love to write lists and love working down my list, ticking things off. You really feel like you are achieving something.
Recent research suggests that list writers are more successful in their business.
Food for thought!
I’ve used various methods in the past and I now have a really funky book where I write down all my lists and nothing else goes in this book.
I divide it into three columns, one for household, one for work and the other one for miscellaneous jobs.
I then highlight each one as it’s completed which is really satisfying as the more colour that is added to the page, the more you have got done. This, of course, could be handwritten or put on your device.
Have a think about how you could start using lists if you haven’t in the past, as it really focuses the mind on what needs to be done.
You can, of course, then prioritise your lists and there are all sorts of ways to make them work for you.
My advice, as always, is to keep it simple and work through methodically as you go.

So, the reason I started to tell you this is because I’ve been working on a massive project to release my first online product. This is in the form of a referral system that I use in my own business called ‘Fill Your Practice With Lovely Recommendations And Referrals’.
There have been so many stages that I have had to break down every step into manageable chunks in the form of many lists.
I wanted it packed full of information and gems that you could implement in your business to build your own practice. So the more I’ve been writing, the more I wanted to share. It has been a labour of love and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed writing it.
I then decided to write a workbook which complements the product and which you can complete as you work through the system to make it relevant to you and your business.
I then started talking about it to others and I was then interviewed about the system and how it all works. I’ll tell you all about that next time.
It’s been such fun developing it, but it has taken so much longer than I imagined.
I suppose that, as I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I wanted it just right so it’s taken me a lot longer than I thought, but it’s been worth the wait as I’m thrilled with the end product.
I can’t wait to show you but it will still be a little bit longer in the making. Hopefully by next week……watch this space!
