How many of your clients are men? Plenty if you are a physiotherapist like me dealing with sports injuries but what about you aromatherapists, reflexologists and nutritionists? Do you treat as many men as women?
I think the answer may well be no, for a whole host of reasons.
November 19 is International Men’s Day. The awareness day has many political and social aims but also seeks to raise the importance of men’s health and wellbeing.
I am flagging this date up to you a couple of months in advance to give you plenty of time to contact your existing clients and target new ones.
You can use International Men’s Day in your marketing to reach a sector that might be apprehensive about booking a complementary therapy.
We know that a massage, reflexology or a nutritional audit can be life-affirming and even life-changing but we need to get that message out there.
Why not suggest to your female clients that they book a treatment for the man in their life?
If you are a massage therapist, why not target a large business near you and offer complimentary neck massages in the office foyer during the lunch hour?
It doesn’t have to be an office, what about a local golf club?
Make some calls and become part of the global International Men’s Day.
Use the event to put on a week of male-themed treatments – and make it an annual event that will bring in new clients and grow your business.
For more marketing ideas, pop your email address in the box and I will send you, free of charge, my ebook ‘The 3 mistakes that therapists make in their business by not using a recommendations system and ….how to fix them!’ I will also send you an invite to join my private Facebook page for therapists so we can share ideas for always being the best.
Good luck with your International Men’s Day promotions.
Until the next time.
