Have you made your New Year’s resolution yet? Take my advice and say to yourself ‘I will put myself out there this year’.
What do I mean? Put simply, it means that if potential clients don’t know you are there, they cannot come and see you.
You can have all the expertise in the world but if your name isn’t out there, your appointment book will be empty.
You could pay to advertise but believe me, impersonal adverts are not the best way to turn your therapy business into a success.
The key is word of mouth and recommendations. This is the foundation of my Abundant Therapy coaching system and I am not ashamed to say that it is a topic I return to over and over again when I meet therapists who are struggling to get their clinics off the ground.
Here are a few pointers. In conversation, you can tell people you are a therapist and that you have just started a practice in your own home.
Why not organise an open morning so people can come along and find out about your clinic.
You could offer free 10-minute taster sessions so people can experience your treatments.
How about finding out if there are social or community groups in your local area at which you could give a talk about your skills and your business.
Are there other therapists in your area you could speak to about combining treatments and working in collaboration?
Don’t become a secret, get yourself out there. I want you to become the go-to person in your area so you will build yourself a fantastic, busy, thriving business.
