I believe in exceptional customer service! In our busy world where everyone is rushing around, often the ‘niceties’ in life get forgotten. It does not take much effort to be courteous and polite and the results can be phenomenal.
Think back to the last time that you shopped in John Lewis, my favourite shop by the way. You know exactly the service that you will get and the store is always clean, bright and welcoming.
I want you to think about your own practice with a very critical eye and think about what small things you can change to make a big difference. Have a look at your lighting, your seating and your room. How can you enhance your surroundings to make you stand out from the crowd?
It doesn’t have to cost a lot to make big changes. Are your towels stacked neatly on the side? Is the room ready for your client’s arrival? Has all the evidence from the last client gone? Have you changed the paper towel on the couch? Is the pillow puffed up? All these little details make a huge difference to whether a client will re-book. Remember that you have only 20 seconds to make a good first impression.
If you make your client feel as if they are the most important person in the world, then they will be delighted to book in with you again and again. Not only that, but they will be keen to refer others to you. We all like to feel special so why not take a look at your surroundings and make a few tweaks.
