Abundant Therapist: There’s no time like the present to make a change

It’s hard to believe but we are almost one quarter of the way through 2019!

Time goes so fast and even more so when you are juggling a business with a busy home life.

That’s why I always tell the therapists who work with me ‘there is no time like the present’ to make a change.

I have a friend who is always putting off joining a gym. I reckon she has been putting it off for almost a decade! Why? Because life gets in the way, children, work – she never has time for herself. She always talks herself out of committing to a gym membership.

A lack of commitment to change can be an issue for people running therapy businesses. We hardly ever have the time to make changes, to improve what we are doing – or that’s what we think. We may recognise where things could be improved, but we soldier on.

Does this sound like you? Are you a physiotherapist, an osteopath, a sports or complementary therapist earning just about enough, but not as much money as you would like? Are you managing to fit your work life around your home life, even though you are short of sleep, spend the weekends doing household chores and feel exhausted?

Of course it helps that they are earning good money, but usually they have help. They don’t miss a gym appointment because they often have a personal trainer.
